It must not be killing things as fast as the frag vulture can but should also be not too weak.Īt first i was thinking of a long range thermal mamba that would engage from distance and use its superior speed to stay at distance. I wish to try building an effective ammoless massacre ship that can stay in haz res and keep going without having to restock every 10 minutes. Synthesizing is not really an option, i don't wish to have to farm materials for that. The only problem i have with it, its eating ammo and is empty in no time and needs to be restocked after few kills already. Its fun, no doubt and nothing is a real challange for it in pve combat including anaconda wings. And definitely less effective than if I just went out to fight in my corvette instead.I own already a full engineered frag vulture for massacring pirates in pve. Eventually though I'll buy a second one to engineer into the best combat ship I can make it, just because of how much I love the ship and despite knowing that I'd probably be more effective in an FDL. I have one and I love mine, but I'm not using it to fight - I'm engineering the hell out of it to make it into a "doesn't completely suck" exploration ship. You may have noticed though that nothing on that list except the first two items have any bearing in combat.

With a class 5 fuel scoop it's also the best fuel scooper in the game, zero to full in 13 seconds without heating up past 53% even if you scoop while sling shotting around the star. It's the best looking ship in the game, and by far has the nicest cockpit in VR. It can get very slightly higher DPS than the FDL. It has a ton of speed, and can fly backwards faster than most ships can fly forwards.

Mamba has a few things going for it, though. Most players prefer the FDL to the Mamba for combat.
